This project encompasses the design of a logo that reflects the historical and geographical features of the Olympos Ancient City and Tahtalı Mountain (Olympos) in Antalya. Olympos is one of the significant cities of the ancient Lycian civilization, renowned for its natural beauty, historical ruins, and mythological importance. Additionally, Tahtalı Mountain, also known as Mount Olympos, serves as a symbol of the region. This project aims to visually express the identity and history of the area.

In the logo design, the word “Olympos” is split into “Oly (m) Pos”. This division is inspired by the river running through the city, which divides Olympos into northern and southern sections. The letters “Oly” are placed below the line, representing the northern settlements, while the letters “Pos” are above the line, representing the southern settlements. The “M” is designed to reflect the silhouette of Tahtalı Mountain, emphasizing the geographical and mythological significance of the city.

Design decisions aimed to visually capture the historical and geographical structure of Olympos. The logo balances simplicity and depth, aiming to be both aesthetically appealing and easily comprehensible. The color palette includes blue and green tones reflecting nature. The typographic choice evokes ancient times, enhancing the historical emphasis. Overall, this logo design successfully represents the rich history and natural beauty of Olympos and Tahtalı Mountain.

The conceptual approach for the signages and wayfinding system of Olympos Ancient City was carried out by Studio TA. However, the implementation and final design were executed by the project’s architect, Caps Office.
